Ying Peng is a recognized expert in podiatry, specializing in the treatment of patients with dementia and Alzheimer's disease. Her expertise has been featured in The Podiatrist, a leading trade magazine for podiatrists that provides educational articles on how to treat specific conditions. In their June 2022 issue, Ying was interviewed, with a special mention of her association with the Penicuik Podiatrist Clinic.

Before starting her training in podiatry, Ying worked as a care assistant in an NHS ward dedicated to severe cases of dementia. During her tenure, she was concerned about the inadequate foot care provided to patients, which motivated her to pursue a career in podiatry. While studying at university, she continued working part-time on the same ward.

​

In her final year, Ying applied for and won a research grant from Cosyfeet, allowing her to conduct ground breaking research on foot care for dementia and Alzheimer's patients. The results of her study have been described as pioneering in the aforementioned article.

Regarding appointments, options vary based on patient preferences for home or clinic visits. If a home visit is required, Kim will be available to assist. For clinic visits, Ying is readily available.
